Did you know that…?

Today’s theatres of operations require versatile vehicles, made up of highly advanced technological systems, capable of ensuring a high level of protection for crews, while at the same time being highly mobile and integrated into a command system with a maximum degree of connectivity.

The transition to these advanced systems requires a renewed focus on maintenance and logistics. For this reason, a comprehensive maintenance system has been designed to ensure the operability of the Dragon throughout its life cycle. This system revolves around the Oficina Técnica de Apoyo al Ciclo de Vida (OTACV), a joint venture between the Army and TESS-Defence.

This union has several objectives: (1) to ensure safe operation; (2) to rationalize life-cycle costs; (3) to achieve maximum operational readiness compatible with available resources; and (4) to preserve national expertise and technical capability to ensure sustainment and support system evolution.

OTACV also contributes to the Digital Transformation, thanks to its efforts for the implementation of a Predictive Logistics System (SILPRE) and the integration of advanced technologies such as predictive maintenance and the digital twin. It also coordinates with the Army Logistics Support System (SALE) and other suppliers to ensure the continuity of the program during all phases of production.
